Update

Hey guys,

Some of you may or may not know that I left IBLP Headquarters back in June.  After 6 years with the ministry I was very ready to move on, but at the same time it was still hard.  I don't think that I have regretted it at all yet.  I moved home to Berne, IN where I have been living with my family. It has been and interesting, but fun adjustment.  I do still miss Chicago, although it is very nice to be back in the country.

Over the past several months I have continued to do some work for IBLP Purchasing from home over the Internet (for those of you who know what it is I get to use Citrix).  In Aug. I got to go up to Flint and "watch" the building there with Ben Snyder.  It was a fun time, but it was hard to see the place all closed down.  In Sept. I got to do one last CI for the HSLDA Conf in Albuquerque, NM. I will admit that it has been nice to stay connected with the ministry, even if it has been somewhat limited.

This fall I have also been able to help my dad and uncle quite a bit on the farm with the harvest.  It has been great to get back out in the field and enjoy some of the things I used to do back in the day.

At the end of Aug I applied for a job at a couple of local banks to work as a part time teller.  One of the banks (Markle Bank) called me and we started the "interview process." They were very excited and even had some other ideas of job positions that I could do.  Over the past 2 months I have interviewed with them twice, taken one test, and discussed 6 different job possibilities with them.  Long story short I will be starting full time as a teller on Nov. 9th.  At first I was hoping for a better position, but I am grateful for the opportunity to "get my foot in the door" in banking.  Everyone at the branch where I will be working is a Christian.  The entire bank was founded on biblical principles and standards.  They are even large sponcers of one of the local Christian radio stations in the area.  On top of all that the president is a really neat Christian man that is an amazing leader and who happens to be my uncle :)

It has really been amazing to see how God has directed my every step over the past several months, and even over the past several years.  God has been there through the good times and the bad (there have been plenty of both).  I thank Him for each one of you and the parts that each you have played in my life.  I pray that each one of you might find that peace that comes from being in his will.

Nathan

The Find: A lost briefcase

The Story: In September 1989, Frank Keating got on a United Airlines flight from Washington, D.C., to Tulsa, Okla. But when he got off he left his briefcase on the plane. The airline sent it to him . . . in November 2002. "I had forgotten all about it," said Keating, who had become governor of Oklahoma in the meantime. The case had been sitting on a shelf in a security closet in San Francisco. "We're glad we got it back to him. Sorry it took 13 years," said United spokesman Jeff Green. Contents of the case: some papers, wrapped birthday presents for his mother-in-law, and a calculator (the batteries were dead).

Happy Flying!

Roll model: Enzo Ferrari

Setting an example: The man who created one of the world's most sought-after sports cars began his transportation career shoeing mules for the Italian army in World War I. In the 1920s, Ferrari became one of Italy's most famous race car drivers and a designer for the Alfa Romeo racing team. In 1929 he started his own racing team, building sports cars only to help finance the team. When he died in 1988, Ferrari had sold fewer than 50,000 cars.

Have a great day!!

Mudd'n

OK, so I'm doing a "real" post here.  I spent the first two weeks of Aug. up in Flint at the RCI.  Had a great time up there watching the building with Ben.  Then this week Ben came down to my place and the party continued with some mudd'n at Carly and Jamie's house.

Look at all that mud.

Now it's time to pass the clean shirt around to wipe off faces

This is Kayln (C&J's little sister) and Elizabeth (my little sister) - They had to get as muddy as the "big kids"

...and now the.....

Random Fact of the Day:

Did you know that:

A GOLDFISH KEPT IN THE DARK WILL EVENTUALLY TURN WHITE.

hmmmm guess they are just like people :)

Have a GREAT day!!
